Types of School Lockers
Metal is, by far, the highest quality material for school lockers. Although they’re the most affordable lockers, they’re also the most durable. If your school is in a humid or wet climate, stainless steel lockers are the most effective.
Plastic lockers also work well in wet regions. What’s more, they’re cheaper than stainless steel, while they're more expensive than metal lockers. Vented lockers are ideal for gymnasium use. This is because they allow air to flow over stinky gym clothing, so there’s less odor.
There are also electronic lockers. Electronic lockers don't need to be operated with a key. Recent advances in wireless technologies allows operation with a chip which can be integrated into a card or bracelet.
Electronic lockers can be used for individual students or can be set aside to house special assets such as elctronic devices like iPads or laptops. Electronic lockers can also be fitted with charging stations to keep your stored electronics fully charged and ready for use.
